the representative council of learners
The Representative Council of Learners (RCL) is a state-sanctioned Leadership body where learners are democratically elected to represent their register classes. Each class has an RCL Representative and a Deputy. These learners form part of the main RCL body and vote for the Cabinet, who lead and manage the group. The RCL Cabinet comprises the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Grade 11 Representative. Three members of the Cabinet are invited to sit on the School Governing Body. The purpose of the RCL is to serve as a means of communication and mediation between the school and the learner body. They represent the interests of the learners at the highest level of Governance and assist with the smooth functioning of daily school life.
